Konstantin Komarek

Konstantin Komarek ( born November 8, 1992, Vienna) is an Austrian ice hockey player who is under contract for the EC Red Bull Salzburg in the Erste Bank Hockey League since 2012.

Career

Komarek began his career in his hometown of Vienna, where he made ​​his debut in the second division with 14 years. After two seasons in the second division and in the U20 league in 2008, he moved to Luleå HF in Sweden. There, he scored in 18 games in the Swedish J18 Elit 18 points. The second season was a success. Komarek was able to establish itself in the U20 team of Luleå.

In November 2010, Komarek made ​​his debut in the Elitserien. In early January 2011, he was listed at 88th place in the European field players in the mid-term rankings for the NHL Entry Draft. After a total of 64 games in the Elitserien, the striker returned in the summer of 2012 back to Austria, where he signed a contract with EC Red Bulls Salzburg.

Internationally

Komarek plays since 2010 in the Austrian U20 National Team. He previously participated in three World Cups U18 and two U20 World Cup. In 2010, he played both tournaments ( at the World Juniors even as the second- youngest player of the tournament ) and scored in eleven internationals eleven points scorer.
