Konstantin Schneider

Konstantin Schneider ( born February 17, 1975 in Frunze, Soviet Union, now Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan ) is a German wrestler in the Greco-Roman style

Career

Konstantin Schneider grew up in the former Soviet Union and came there as a teenager to wrestle. After his relocation to the Federal Republic of Germany, he joined the KSV St. Ingbert, where he was coached by his father, Dr. Heinrich Schneider. In 1992 he became German youth champion in the weight class up to 63 kg of body weight in the Greco- Roman style. In this style, he focused his entire career Ringer. German youth champion, he was also in 1993, but in the weight class up to 68 kg body weight. In 1995 he was German junior welterweight champion, and in 1996 the first German champion in the senior welterweight before Murat Cebi from KSV Aalen and Mario Lauer of KSV Haslach iK. In 1993 Konstantin Schneider for the first time participated in an international championship. However, he lost at the Junior European Championships in Austria Götzis in Lightweight his first fight against the Bulgarians Milew and remained unplaced. Two years later, in 1995, he then scored his first major international success at the Junior World Championship in Tehran. He was there in the welterweight behind Tamas Berzicza from Hungary and before Nazmi Avluca from Turkey Junior Vice World Champion.

Despite his German league title in 1996, he came in the next few years no inserts in the international championship. The reason was that he first won in the following years is no other league titles more. He placed either always behind Erik Hahn of RSV Frankfurt ( Oder), or could not participate in the German championships such as 2000 and 2001. One exception was the year 1999, where it was used at the World Championships in Athens. In the welterweight he came there to a victory over Nazim Akhmedov from Azerbaijan, but lost his second fight against Marko Yli- Hannuksela from Finland and so remains, according to the then somewhat peculiar regulations, unplaced. He was also in 2000 at an Olympic qualifying tournament in Faenza at the start, where, however, he finished only 20th place. The other Olympic qualifying tournaments started welterweight Erik Hahn. It did not succeed in learning German welterweight to fight for a place at the Olympic Games in Sydney.

In 2002, Konstantin Schneider a German championship titles won at last welterweight before Adam Juretzko from VfK Schiffer city, who was in the next few years the main competitors for the leading position in Germany in the welterweight division. He won the 7th place also at the 2003 European Championship in Belgrade. He won there over Reto Bucher from Switzerland and Vugar Aslanow from Azerbaijan and lost against Alexander Kikjinow from Belarus. At the World Championships the same year in Créteil, he then scored the biggest win of his wrestler 's career. He won there welterweight about Mark Overgaard Madsen from Denmark, Thomas Dantzler from the United States, Yakov Menscherow from Israel and Kim Jin -soo of South Korea. In the fight for the world title he lost but against Alexei Glushkov and thus became vice - world champion.

In 2004, Konstantin Schneider could start by its placement at the World Championships at the 2003 Olympic Games in Athens. He showed in Athens also excellent fights and defeated the world-class athletes Mohamed Babulfath from Sweden and Vladimir Schazkych, subject, however, in his third fight against Warteres Samurgaschew from Russia, the future Olympic champion. He finished in 7th place.

2005 Konstantin Schneider won a bronze medal at the World Championships in Budapest. He won it on Daniar Kobonow from Kyrgyzstan, Mowses Karapetyan from Armenia and Alexander Doktoruschwili from Uzbekistan, losing to Warteres Samurgaschew and won the decisive battle for the bronze medal on Mohamed Babulfath. He fought a good 5th place at the World Cup 2006 in Guangzhou. There, he scored victories over Zdorikow from Uzbekistan, Alexei Mikhailovich from Belarus and Davood Abedinzadeh Chadorchi from Iran. Against Vladimir Schazkych and Mark Overgaard Madsen he lost in this championship, however.

Also in the following years started Konstantin Schneider in each year at least one international championship and could be up to 2010, always among the ten first place. In 2007 he occupied at the World Championships in Baku welterweight the 8th Place and defeated, amongst others, Manuchar Kwirkwelia from Georgia, should be the 2008 Olympic champion. In 2008, he came at European Championships in Tampere on the 9th Place and finished at the Olympic Games 2008 in Beijing again a 9th place after a victory over Zeghdane Messaoud, Algeria and defeats Manuchar Kwirkwelia and Christophe Guenot from France. 2009 succeeded Konstantin Schneider at the World Championships in Herning / Denmark in 5th place a very good placement. He suggested there Jung Tae- kyun from South Korea, Joachim Aardalen from Norway and Evgeny Popov from Russia. Also in the 2010 World Cup, now 35 -year-old took part again in the, he defeated Hassan Shahsavan of Australia and was defeated by Russians Emil Scharafetdinow, which he finished 15.Platz.
