Konstantin Vaginov

Konstantin Konstantinovich Waginow (Russian Константин Константинович Вагинов, scientific transliteration Konstantin Konstantinović Vaginov, actually Wagengejm / Wagenheim; * 21 Septemberjul / October 3 1899greg in Saint Petersburg, .. † April 26, 1934 ) was a Russian poet.

Waginow was born into a German -born officer's family in Saint Petersburg. He joined in his hometown of Leningrad first in the circle of Nikolai Gumilev Akmeisten to later avant-garde artists association OBERIU.

Konstantin Waginow is one of the most idiosyncratic and original representatives of Russian modernism. His strategy of poetic refusal made ​​it difficult to classify the work of Konstantin Waginow.
