Konzenberg

Konzenberg ( 498 m) is a district of Haldenwang in Bavaria and lies on the east, the Mindel accompanying mountains of the Iller- Lech- plate.

The place has grown together from the older and the younger Riblingen castle settlement Konzenberg. As the owner of the manor house Konzenberg are called: 1305/1338 the Lords of Burgau, 1351 Halder, from 1361, the Lords of Waldkirch, then the Lords of Villenbach. In 1400, the government came to the diocese of Augsburg and was variously displaced as a deposit.

1454 Konzenberg was traded from the high pin against the rule of Weis rings and so came to the Lords of Grafeneck, 1456 to the gentlemen of the Stain, 1457/58 in exchange for Niederstotzingen to the Lords of Westernach, 1511 to the Lords of Knöringen, 1524 at the citizens of Augsburg eagle and 1530 the Augsburg patrician family Baumgartner. Under their lordship Konzenberg, Landensberg, Glöttweng, Röfingen were combined to include goods as Großkötz, Hochwang, Emmenthal, Scheppach and Roßhaupten to rule Konzenberg.

After the extinction of the Baumgartner family at the beginning of the 17th century Konzenberg Tyrolean families came into the hands until it was acquired on July 17, 1684 again from the Bishopric of Augsburg. From then on, the town remained the Pflegamt Aislingen assumed until the secularisation owned by the Bishopric. The castle, uninhabited since the sale in 1684, fell into disrepair.

In Konzenberg were chaplains in the 18th century. 1783 here a benefice was erected, which was raised in 1831 to a Pfarrkuratie. This was also allocated Riblingen and Mehrstetten. The Parish Church of the Purification was built in 1854, since 1922 Konzenberg is formal parish.

Situated between Mindelaltheim and Konzenberg hamlet Mehrstetten went from the Margraviate of Burgau fief. Two of the original three farms belonging to the reign Landensberg and shared their fate. Originally Mehrstetten was the parish to Waldkirch.

On 1 May 1978, the municipality Konzenberg was incorporated into the municipality Haldenwang.
