Kool DJ Red Alert

DJ Red Alert, born Fred Crute, ( born 1956 in Harlem, New York City ) is an American disc jockey, hip- hop producer and works additionally as a disc jockey on the radio. DJ Red Alert is one of the pioneers of hip-hop.

DJ Red Alert is Antiguan origin. He had in the 1980s, a little hip-hop record company called Red Alert Productions ( RAP), which boosted the careers of Native Tongues Posse, such as the Jungle Brothers, A Tribe Called Quest, and Monie Love. Red Alert Productions was next to Russell Simmons Hip- hop label Rush Artist Management and Cold Chillin ' Records one of the few record companies that dealt with hip-hop artist.

DJ Red Alert worked in New York radio station WRKS ( 98.7 KISS FM) over eleven years and for WQHT ( Hot 97 ) for seven years. He also participated in the mix show Article One on Youth Radio 92.5 in St. Martin in the U.S. Virgin Islands, which was broadcast by Sirius Satellite Radio station Backspin. 2008, DJ Red Alert 's 25th anniversary as a radio disc jockey.

DJ Red Alert was in June 2003, a star on the Bronx Walk of Fame. He appeared in over 50 music videos.
