Koolasuchus

Koolasuchus

Koolasuchus (Greek " Kools crocodile " ) was one of the most geologically recent representatives of Temnospondyli, who was among the Trematosauria. Due to his appearance in the documentary " Walking with Dinosaurs " he is one of the most famous Temnospondyli.

The head of Koolasuchus was flat and 50 cm long, so it was very large in proportion to body. Eyes were on the top of the head. His legs were only weak, he could not move well on land. Leave large, curved teeth suggest that Koolasuchus was carnivorous.

The first fossils were discovered in 1989 - Koolasuchus in South Australia in the reference " Dinosaur Cove ".
