Korno

Korno ( German grain 1939-45 ) is a town in the Czech Republic. It is located seven kilometers south-east of Beroun and belongs to Okres Beroun.

Geography

Korno is located on the right side above the valley of Berounka in the Brdská Highlands. The village lies in the source basin of the creek Bělečský creek in the conservation area Český kras ( Bohemian Karst ). To the north- west stretches the National Nature Reserve coda. North of Korno leads the railway line Prague- Plzeň by the Berounka. In the northeast, the Strážiště raises the Střevíc (385 m ) east of the Voskov ( 369 m ) south of the Mramor (470 m) and the Samor ( 481 m) in the southwest of Baćin ( 499 m), west (450 m) and the HRIB (409 m) and in the northwest of the Tobolsky vrch ( 467 m) and the Na Čihadle ( 388 m).

Neighboring towns are Koda and Srbsko in the north, Krupná and Poučník in the northeast, Klučice, Hlásná Třebaň and Zadnà Třebaň in the east, Běleč, Lhotka and Dolni Vlence the southeast, Liteň, Pod Cihelnou and Nesvačily in the south, Měňany the southwest, Tobolka in the west and Bítov, Kolednik, Jarov, Zavadilka and Tetín in the northwest.

History

The first written mention of the village was made around 1360 in connection with Prziedwoy de Korna. It is believed that his seat was a seasoned in the upper part of the village festivals, which in 1540 called desolate.

In 1846 Korno consisted of 25 houses with 156 inhabitants. The community operated two quarries where limestone and red marble was recovered, with the marble was found to be unmarketable because of its soft consistency. Vicarage was Litten .. Until the mid-19th century was the village of the kk Montan rule royal submissive.

After the abolition of patrimonial Korno formed in 1850 a municipality in the district of Smíchov and judicial district of Beroun. 1868, the community was assigned to the district Hořovice. Since 1936 Korno belongs to Okres Beroun. In 1960, the village was incorporated into Měňany. Since 1972 Korno part of the protected landscape area Český kras. Korno dissipated on November 24, 1990 again from Měňany off and formed its own community. The historic center has been declared a rural conservation area due to its preserved folk architecture in 1995.

  • Wall remains of feasts Korno from the 14th century behind the chapel. It was in 1540 called desolate. In the 1850s, the archaeologist Václav Krolmus undertook investigations. The last remains of walls were eliminated after 1980 in the wake of the construction of single family homes.
  • Remains of a prehistoric hillfort on the Střevíc; it probably originates from the Hallstatt period, in the opinion of Václav Matoušek was located on the hill a Celtic oppidum.
  • National Nature Reserve Koda, in the emperor canyon ( Císařské rokle ) is the aragonite ( Aragonite Caves ) and a two-meter high artificial waterfall, west of it the Kodaer cave ( Kodská jeskyně ).
  • Former limestone quarry Tomášův lom with 40 m high walls, north of the village on the Berounka.
