Korpijärvi

The Korpijärvi is a medium sized lake in the countryside of Southern Savo in southeastern Finland.

The 31 sq km lake is located west of the Saimaa lake system and North of the ridge - mountain range. It is shared by the state highway 15, which connects with its northern section of the city of Kouvola and Mikkeli, into two halves. At its eastern shore is the village Halmeniemi. The largest islands are Ilkonsaari (19 ha) and Korpisaari (18 ha).

Among the fish species occurring in Korpijärvi include perch, grayling, pike, Atlantic salmon, smelt, whitefish, lake trout and others.
