Köşektaş, Hacıbektaş

Köşektaş is a Turkish village in Cappadocia. It belongs to the province of Nevsehir and is located in the district Hacıbektaş. In 2008 there lived 453 people. The name of the village ( " camel foals stone " ) goes to two different-sized boulders back north of the village. These are considered the camel and camel colt.

The village was probably founded in the 19th century. In 1872, the village is said to have passed out of 38 houses with 900 residents.

Köşektaş consists of two main areas; Koy and karsi Mahalle and has no more school for a long time. The children will be transported by school bus to elementary school after Hacıbektaş. In the summer of 1928, the inauguration of the first primary school was held. 66 years later, in 1994, the primary school was closed in Köşektaş due to low number of students.

In Köşektaş there are two mosques and a health center.
