Kosice (Hradec Králové Region)

Kosice [ kɔsitsɛ ] ( German Großkositz ) is a municipality with 330 inhabitants in the Czech Republic. It is located 6 km northeast of the city Chlumec nad Cidlinou Okres in Hradec Králové, Hradec Králové region at the Bystřice.

From Kosice a relocation of the Bystřice in a new perfectly straight river bed was to the southwest, while the old river as Mlýnská Bystřice westward branches.

History

The town was first mentioned in 1315. In 1318 he came into possession of the Budislav, Bernát and Hroznata. The history describes numerous feuds with their neighbors and any damages resulting therefrom.

In the middle of the village green reminds one located below four Linden memorial stone to the victims of the two world wars. Next to the monument is a umfriedetes and provided with bells cross, representing the Passion of Christ.

Cultural life in the village is dominated by the local fire department and the sports clubs TJ Sokol Kosice ( tennis) and KOŠICKÁ marked Švestka (soccer).
