Kosmos 110

Cosmos 110 is the codename for an unmanned flight of the Soviet spaceship Voskhod, who conducted 1966 tests in preparation for the flight of Voskhod 3 in orbit in February. It was common in the Soviet Union to give only successful missions an official name. Failed flights were mostly not announced and test flights only under the general cover name cosmos.

The flight

The launch took place on 22 February at 20:09 UT clock from Soviet Baikonur Cosmodrome aboard a Voskhod rocket. In the spaceship, the two dogs Weterok and Ugoljok were. The flight was in preparation for the flight of Voskhod 3, but this was discontinued. The Voskhod - return capsule landed safely on 16 March on Earth.
