Kosovo Maiden

The girl from the Blackbird Field ( Serbian: Косовка девојка, Kosovka Devojka ) is the main character in the eponymous poem of the Serbian epic poetry:

A young beauty supplies after the Battle of Kosovo Polje (1389 ) Serbian wounded warriors and searches for her fiance, the godfather and the best man. Finally, she learns of a severely wounded warrior, that all three are killed in the battle.
