Kosta Abrašević

Kosta Abrašević ( Serbian Cyrillic Коста Абрашевић ) (* May 29, 1879 in Ohrid, † January 20, 1898 in Sabac ) was a Serbian poet.

Abrašević regarded as the founder of the proletarian poetry in Serbia. His realistic poems that are dedicated to the life of the workers ( including " Red", 1893, " The Thief " in 1896 and " In the Pit", 1897) are influenced by the revolutionary romanticism and imbued with socialist ideas.
