Kostas Patavoukas

Konstantinos Patavoukas (Greek Κωνσταντίνος Παταβούκας; born February 3, 1966 in Athens ) is a retired Greek professional basketball player.

Career

He began his career in the youth divisions of Patavoukas association AO Astir Exarchion, who is based in the center of Athens. In 1985 he moved to the traditional club AEK Athens, where he signed his first professional contract. In the following 14 years Patavoukas changed hands several times between AEK and Panathinaikos Athens and played 1996/1997 even for a season in Italy with Virtus Bologna. The most significant success was Patavoukas 1996 won the European Champions' Cup, when he could beat on the side of players such as Dominique Wilkins, Panagiotis Giannakis or Fragiskos Alvertis in the final to FC Barcelona 67-66.

National

His debut with the Greek national team was Patavoukas on May 15, 1985, when the game against Romania in Bucharest. In the game, who won Greece with 81-72, Patavoukas scored two points. Over the course of the next twelve years, he was an integral part of this team and each reached the fourth Campsite at the 1994 World Cup and the European Championships in 1993, 1995, 1997. His last international match was Patavoukas, after 162 games and 871 scored points on 6 July 1997 at a European Championship match against Russia.
