Kosum Phisai District

Amphoe Kosum Phisai ( Thai อำเภอ โกสุมพิสัย ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district ) in the north of the province of Maha Sarakham. The Maha Sarakham Province is located in the center of Northeast Thailand, Isaan.

Geography

Amphoe Kosum Phisai borders the following districts (from north clockwise): Amphoe Chiang Yuen to, Kantharawichai, Mueang Maha Sarakham, Borabue and Kut rank in the province of Maha Sarakham, as well as to the Amphoe Ban Phai Ban Mueang Khon Kaen and Haet the province of Khon Kaen.

Management

Amphoe Kosum Phisai is divided into 17 communes ( tambon), which in turn in 231 villages ( Muban ) are divided.

There is a small town ( thesaban tambon) in the district:

  • Hua Khwang ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล หัว ขวาง ), consisting of parts of the tambon Hua Khwang.

There are also 17 " Tambon Administrative Organizations" (TAO, องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - administrative organizations) in the district.
