Kota Tinggi (the " High City " ) is a city in Malaysia in the south of the Malay Peninsula, in the state of Johor about 30 km north of Johor Bahru. It is the capital of the selfsame district. The city lies at the Sungai Johor. Despite its name, the city is just a few meters above sea level in a plane and was already flooded a wide area during heavy rain events.
