Kotkan Titaanit

Kotkan Titaanit is a Finnish professional ice hockey club established in 1974 in Kotka. The team plays in the Suomi- sarja and wearing their home games at the Areena from Ilona.
History
The club was founded in 1974. Kotkan Titaanit participated in the 1995/96 season for the first time at the I- divisioona, the former Finnish second division, in part. Already in the following season the team from but increased again in the third class II - divisioona. As of the 2000 /01 season the team played in the Suomi- sarja, the new Finnish third division. In the season 2006/ 07 was Titaanit master of Suomi- sarja and then climbed into the relegation to the second-class Mestis on. Already in the second Mestis - year Kotka increased in the 2008 /09 season again in the Suomi- sarja. A year later, even followed the descent into the fourth-rate II divisioona. Since the 2012/13 season Titaanit occurs again in the Suomi- sarja.
