Kottbusser Tor (Berlin U-Bahn)

Metro Station Kottbusser Tor is located in the Berlin district of Kreuzberg district of Friedrichshain- Kreuzberg. He is a junction station of the subway lines U1 and U8 and ( U1) or under (U8 ) of the estate of the same place. His LOB internal names are Kbo (U1, above) or Kbu (U8, below).

The distances to the neighboring stations is on the high rail line 650 meters to the east ( Görlitz Station ) and 900 meters to the west ( Prince Street ), underground 860 meters to the north ( Moritz space ) as well as 670 meters to the south ( Schönleinstraße ).

History

The original high station was put into operation on February 15, 1902 east of the square and resembled with its side platforms largely the neighboring station Görlitz Station. He was replaced in connection with the opening of the low station of today's U8 on February 12, 1928 which is now known and listed building directly over the place.

Building

Today's high station received a 110 meter long and 11 meter wide central platform and escalators to the new mezzanine.
