Koundara

Koundara is the capital of the prefecture in northern Guinea at the intersection of national roads N5 and N9. In the center there is a market and a mosque as well as a bus station. On the road to Senegal, there is a customs station, Koundara is the last major town before the entrance of the Guinean side of the Niokolo -Koba National Park. Koundara is considered the hottest location in Guinea.
