Kovik River

Rivière Kovik is a 169 km long river in the northwest of the Ungava Peninsula in the Arctic tundra of the Nunavik region in the administrative region of Nord -du -Québec of the Canadian province of Quebec.

River

The river has its source in the lake Lac Vanasse, about 40 km south of the settlement Salluit. From there it flows first south-east, later in southwesterly to the Lac Belleau, and further west to Lac Chassé. He continues to flow west to Lac Mairaq, where it receives the right tributary of Rivière Derville. Further west ends of the Rivière Durouvray also coming from the right into the river. The Rivière Kovik finally empties into the Bay Baie Kovik Hudson Bay across from Cape Paalliq and about 90 km north of the settlement Akulivik.
