Koy Sanjaq

Koysancak or short Koy (Kurdish Koye; كيويسنجق Arab ) is a town and district in the province of Arbil, in the Autonomous Region of Kurdistan, Iraq.

The city has a population of 44987 people, the majority of which are Kurds (calculated 2009). Koy is also called " City of Artists ", because there are many famous Kurdish artists are born, this includes the author of the Kurdish anthem Ey Reqîb Dildar.
