Kozel Castle

Castle Kozel ( German Forest Castle ) is located on the edge of the village Šťáhlavy southeast of Pilsen in Czech Republic.

It is one of the most visited monument buildings in West Bohemia. End of the 18th century, it was built as a four-wing one-story building around a rectangular courtyard. Was the design architect Johann Ignaz gave Palliardi, directed the construction by the architect Václav Haberditz. Later, a chapel, an indoor riding arena and stables, the opposite is the Lakaienhaus not been established yet. The interior decoration took in front of the famous Prague painter and decorator Antonín Tuvora who decorated the walls of most rooms with al secco technique.
