Kozielice, Kamień County

Kozielice ( German Köselitz, Pomerania ) is a village in the Polish West Pomeranian Voivodeship. It belongs to the urban and rural community Golczewo ( Gülzow ) Kamien Pomorski in a circle ( Pomerania ).

Geographical location

Kozielice is located on a side road linking the province road 108 Płoty ( Plathe ) - Parlówko ( Parlowkrug ) at Wysoka Kamieńska ( Wietstock ) with the province road 106 Rzewnowo ( Revenow ) - Nowogardzka ( Pomerania ) - Stargard ( Stargard in Pomerania ) - Pyrzyce ( Pomerania ) connects with Niemica ( Nemitz ).

A direct train connection does not exist. The nearest train stations are:

  • Wysoka Kamieńska ( Wietstock ) at the State Railways ( PKP) Line 401 from Szczecin to Swinoujscie ( Swinoujscie ), and
  • Stawno ( Staewen ) at the PKP line 407 of Wysoka Kamieńska Kamien Pomorski by ( Pommern ).

History

In 1281 Prince Bogusław IV of Pomerania gave the village Köselitz half each to the bishop Hermann von Gleichen of Pomerania and the Camminer church. 1369 was Johann exhibits will reeve in Köselitz. The Freischulzenhof remained until 1428 in the family, then it left Dubislaw Ponat the cathedral chapter of Pomerania.

The two-storey timber-framed building of the manor of Köselitz was built in the early 19th century.

By 1945 Köselitz was a village in the administrative district of Pomerania i Pom. in the district of Stettin Prussian province of Pomerania. After 1945 Kozielice became part of the urban and rural community Golczewo in powiat Kamieński the Polish West Pomeranian Voivodeship ( to 1998 Voivodeship Szczecin ). Between 1945 and 1951 Kozielice himself was the official residence of a rural community named after him, which should not be confused with today's Gmina Kozielice in powiat Pyrzycki ( Pomerania ).

Church

Parish Church

The Köselitzer stone church has a nice structured by six blind niches west pediment of the 15th century. The wooden tower stands on a base of field and bricks and is one of the old wooden towers on solid base.

Inside the church, the pulpit is a treasure: the only Gothic pulpit in Pomerania from pre-Reformation times. 1694 came from the Camminer Cathedral, the basket was boarded with new panels. He is hexagonal and has at the bottom of tracery from quatrefoils and above. Pointed arches on each side panels depending on a large rosette with various patterns, including the late Gothic fish bladder

The church was Protestant church until 1945 and was expropriated in favor of the Catholic Church. Today it bears the name Kościół Sw. Chrystusa Krola ( Christ the King Church ).

Parish

In Köselitz lived predominantly Protestant church members before 1945. The church belonged to the Church of Pomerania in Pomerania Ostsprengel the Church of the Church of the Old Prussian Union.

In 1940 the parish Köselitz counted a total of 1800 members of the congregation, in Köselitz and in Batzlaff (now Polish: Baczysław ) Dargsow ( Dargoszewo ) Kretlow ( Kretlewo ) Staewen ( Stawno ) Wietstock ( Wysoka Kamieńska ) and wild Hagen ( Gadom ) lived.

In the old church records it is recorded that on a hill, " a strange mineral source " concerned were present Köselitzer parish garden, whether their water in winter, even with the greatest cold, always warm and " clearly visible steam " creates.

Since 1945, predominantly Catholic population live in Kozielice. Further, the location parish seat, but now belongs to the deanery Golczewo ( Gülzow ) in the Archdiocese of Szczecin - Pomerania of the Catholic Church in Poland.

Protestant church members in Kozielice are eingepfarrt in Szczecin parish. It belongs to the diocese of Breslau Evangelical-Augsburg Church in Poland. Parish seat is now Trzebiatów ( Treptow Rega ad ).
