Kozienice Power Station

The power plant Kozienice is put into use 1972-1979 coal fired power plant at Kozienice in Poland, which has a total capacity of 2,820 MW.

Kozienice Power Station has three chimneys, two at 200 each and one of 300 meters. The latter is one of the tallest free-standing buildings in Poland. A special feature of the power plant Kozienice is that the high voltage transmission lines leaving the power plant, are laid on the roof racks on the power plant building.

On 21 November 2012, the foundation stone for the construction of a new power plant with a designed capacity of 1075 MW was. Completion is scheduled for the second quarter 2017Vorlage: provided future / in 3 years. After completion, it will be the largest coal -fired power plant unit in Europe.
