KÅzu-shima
Kōzu -shima (Jap.神 津 岛) is a volcanic island in the Pacific Ocean. It belongs geographically to the Izu Islands and administratively to the village Kozushima of Tokyo Prefecture.
Geography
Kōzu -shima is located in the Pacific Ocean south of Sagami Bay, south-east of the Izu Peninsula. Its area is 18.48 km ².
About 5 km west-southwest is 0.04 km ² small, uninhabited island Ombase -jima (恩 驰 岛).
The last volcanic eruption in Kōzu -shima took place 838. Here, the lava dome Tenjo -san created.

Kōzu -shima is located as part of the archipelago in the Fuji -Hakone -Izu National Park.
