Mokpwe (also Bakpwe, Bakwedi, Bakwele, Bakweri, Bekwiri, Kwedi, Kweli, Kwili, Kwiri, Mokpe, Ujuwa, Vakweli and Vambeng ) is a Bantu language and is spoken by about 32,200 people from the ethnic group of Kpe in Cameroon.
It is distributed in the district Fako in the province of Sud -Ouest. Approximately 15-25% of second -language speakers can read and write Mokpwe.
Classification
Mokpwe is a Northwest Bantu language and belongs to the Duala group that is classified as Guthrie Zone A20.
