Krajnik Dolny

Krajnik Dolny [ Krainik dɔlnɨ ] ( German Niederkränig ) is a village in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship in Poland. It belongs to the urban and rural community Chojna ( Konigsberg in Neumark ) in the powiat Gryfiński.

The village is situated directly on the east bank of the Oder on the border with the Federal Republic of Germany, in front of the Brandenburg town of Schwedt / Oder. It is located about 10 kilometers northwest of Chojna, 27 km southwest of Gryfino ( Pommern ) and 47 km south-west of Szczecin.

Niederkränig belonged to Germany until 1945, most recently in 1816 to the district Königsberg Nm. in the province of Brandenburg. After the Second World War, it came as quite Brandenburg, to Poland.

The village is connected by the German bus line 492 with the Brandenburg town of Schwedt and with the Polish community center Chojna. Bus number 492 - on the Polish side - collectively integrated into the transport system of Berlin-Brandenburg.
