Kraków Barbican

The Barbican in Krakow is considered the largest remaining Barbican Europe. This the city walls upstream defense work against the Florian Gate was built in 1498/99 during the reign of John I Albert of brick.

The circular Gothic building has 24.40 meters inside diameter, the wall thickness is about three meters. The building was formerly associated with St. Florian's Gate with a wide corridor. The roof is pierced by seven octagonal or round turrets with pointed roofs.
