KrasAir

KrasAir (actually Krasnoyarsk Airlines, Russian Красноярские авиалинии ) was a Russian airline based in Krasnoyarsk in Siberia. She was one according to its own representation of the three largest airlines in Russia. In 2001 KrasAir promoted for the first time more than 1 million passengers. In 2008 KrasAir had to stop operations due to financial problems and several strikes by employees.

History

KrasAir emerged as Yenisey Air Wing in May 1934 on the instructions of the Central Northern sea. The name changed in Krasnoyarsk Civil Aviation Directorate (1946-1982) and in Krasnoyarsk Aviation Enterprize ( 1982-1993 ). In 1993, the government privatized the company, but still had 51% of the shares. As the new name was introduced at this time Krasnoyarsk Airlines. This name was eventually shortened to the trade name KrasAir 1998. The Krasnoyarsk Airlines was established in 1993 as a private-sector corporation from the Krasnoyarsk Branch of Aeroflot, which goes back again to the Yenisei River was established in 1934 Airwing. Since 1998 it has operated under the brand name KrasAir.

In October 2004, KrasAir and Domodedovo Airlines merged, but remained legally independent. The aim was to bring together the management and destinations, as they were almost identical.

AiRUnion

The company is under the leadership of the twin brothers Boris and Alexander Mikhailovich Abramovich, who hold a 40% share in the airline. 51 % is owned by the Government of the Krasnoyarsk region. In 2004, the company had merged with the other four Russian Airlines Domodedovo Airlines, Samara Airlines, Omskavia and Sibaviatrans the Abramovich brothers Allianz AiRUnion. Since 2005, the aircraft of the KrasAir in the colors of AiRUnion were repainted. She became the third largest regional airline Russ Aland.

As part of its international expansion AiRUnion acquired a stake of 99.95 % in the Hungarian, previously state, Malev Airlines for 200 million forints (about 758,000 Euros ).

Together with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development founded KrasAir 2006, the low cost airline Sky Express, which is based at Vnukovo airport in Moscow.

Crisis in 2008,

In June and August 2008, KrasAir and AiRUnion had to temporarily cease flying, because the kerosene supplier fueling the aircraft, due to lack of payment, refused. In June KrasAir agreed with the main supplier Sibir Avia Service to a continuation of kerosene deliveries, as long as the debt (about 2.75 million euros ) would not exceed 100 million rubles. But in August, the debt amounted to approximately EUR 6.1 million, so that operations had to be suspended for the second time, leaving thousands of passengers their flight could not compete. KrasAir gave as a reason for the rising fuel prices and reported that the kerosene deliveries accounted for 54 % of the costs in the first half.

On 26 August 2008 refused Rostechnologii, one of the shareholders, it is starting to pay more bills for KrasAir. At the same time the government was negotiating with Aeroflot, Transaero, S7 Airlines, and Rossiya about the takeover of the former routes of KrasAir.

After the strike of employees and ongoing debt off of fuel suppliers, KrasAir presented on 27 October 2008 flight operations. On 1 November 2008, the actual company was dissolved and the routes under the administration of Atlant -Soyuz Airlines. Later KrasAir should be fused together with some other airlines to Rosavia, which was never completed.

On July 6, 2009, it was announced that the KrasAir under the leadership of Atlant -Soyuz Airlines is insolvent and filed for bankruptcy.

Objectives

KrasAir served alongside Russia's internal goals, targets in Germany (eg Frankfurt and Hannover), Austria (Salzburg), Ukraine, Turkey, Moldova, Greece, Cyprus, China, and Thailand.
