Krasnoperekopsk

Krasnoperekopsk (Ukrainian Красноперекопськ; Russian Красноперекопск ) is a city in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Ukraine with 30,000 inhabitants. It is located on the Isthmus of Perekop about 120 km north-west of Simferopol.

In Krasnoperekopsk is the largest Sodafabrik Ukraine, which was established because of the place in 1932 as a settlement for the workers of today Sodawerkes. The city owns the city statute since 1966 and is the administrative center of the homonymous Rajons, but not the same part.

The name refers to the 1920 city destroyed Perekop, the suffix " Krasno- " means " red ". The city is located at the North Crimean canal and the railway line Dschankoj - Kherson, one of the two railway lines connecting the Crimea with the mainland.
