Krasny Kut, Saratov Oblast

Krasny Kut (Russian Красный Кут ) is a town in Saratov Oblast (Russia) with 14,416 inhabitants (as of October 14, 2010 ).

Geography

The city is located about 120 km southeast of Saratov Oblasthauptstadt at Yaroslav, a left tributary of the Volga.

Krasny Kut is the administrative center of the homonymous Rajons.

The town lies on the railway line Saratov -Astrakhan, branches off from the branch line through here a Nowousensk by Alexandrov Gai.

History

Culture, Education and sights

In the city the Trinity Church ( Троицкая церковь / Troitskaya Tserkov ) obtained from the 19th century.
