Geography

Krauschwitz between Halle ( Saale) and Gera in the Valley of Rippach, which springs in the district Kistritz.

History

Krauschwitz was first documented in 1135.

The district Krauschwitz 1651 was affected by witch hunts. The widow of Barthel Hoyer, an elderly woman and her daughter were caught in a witch trial. The mother died under torture.

From the city Teuchern and the communities Deuben, Gröben, Gröbitz, Krauschwitz, Nessa, Prittitz and Trebnitzgrund the unified community Teuchern city was formed on 1 January 2011 by law. With the formation of the new city which is involved in the formation of new city and the communities involved are resolved. Culture and sights

The Baroque church in the district Kistritz with their highly visible rotated and ' leaning ' tower is the tallest and most important building in the community. In the remaining part of the old fortified church, the sacristy, is a beautiful polyptych, but which is currently shown on loan to an exhibition of the Naumburg Cathedral Chapter.

Regular events

Traffic

The Federal Highway 9 runs west past Krauschwitz; the nearest connection point Naumburg (No. 21a), about 4 kilometers to the south. The breakpoint Krauschwitz ( Teuch ) on the railway line Naumburg - Teuchern is no longer served since December 2011 in rail transport.
