Kreayshawn
Natassia Gail Zolot (* September 24 1989 in San Francisco, California, United States), better known by her stage name Kreayshawn, is an American rapper and music video director, which in 2011 through their hit Gucci Gucci was known.
Childhood
Zolot was born in San Francisco and grew up in Pleasanton ( California). She is the daughter of Elka Zolot, a founding member of the San Francisco garage punk band The Trash Women. Zolot visited the MetWest, Oakland High School, Alameda High School and the High School Iceland, but got no degree. They also visited the Berkeley Digital Film Institute, which she later left as well without a degree.
Career
Kreayshawn resulted in the music video of rapper Lil B Director. Kreayshawn later joined the group White Girl Mob, which still consists of the rappers V- Nasty and DJ Lil ' Debbie.
My breakthrough came when she released the music video for her single Gucci Gucci on the video portal YouTube. Within the first three weeks, the video has been viewed over 3 million times. In the song, Kreayshawn raps about designer brands like Gucci, Fendi, Louis Vuitton or Prada.
On 8 June 2011 it was announced that Kreayshawn has signed a contract with Columbia Records.
23 June 2011 it was announced that Kreayshawn directing the music video for The Adventures of Rain Dance Maggie, the first single from the Red Hot Chili Peppers album I'm with You, leads. However, the band decided to turn another music video and not to publish the original version.
Kreayshawn was nominated as " Best New Artist " at the MTV Video Music Awards 2011.
