Kreba-Neudorf

Kreba -Neudorf, Upper Sorbian Chrjebja - Nowa Wjes, is a municipality in the district Görlitz, Saxony. It is located in the Sorbian settlement area of Upper Lusatia. With the neighboring community Rietschen Kreba -Neudorf is the administrative community Rietschen.

Geography

Kreba -Neudorf is situated in the northern part of the county, in the north of the former county Niesky, about 10 km north- west of the city Niesky. The community, crossed by black Schoeps, is located in the forest and pond rich Biosphere Reserve Upper Lusatian Heath and Pond Landscape.

Community structure

Districts are Kreba ( Chrjebja ), Pool ( Corna Truha ), Neudorf ( Nowa Wjes ) ​​and Tschernske ( Černsk ).

History

Kreba was 1409 and Neudorf 1519 first mentioned. All four districts of the church today and become part of the south to the neighboring village Mücka are joined early on in the parish of Kreba.

The community finalScore on 1 January 1973 when the two communities Kreba merged ( with Tschernske and pool ) and Neudorf.

Four months before the founding of the Lower Silesian Upper Lusatia circle the neighboring communities Kreba -Neudorf, Klitten (both in Niesky ) and Reichwalde ( County White water) over district boundaries merged across to the administrative organization heath villages. With the dissolution of the church entered into a Management Community with Rietschen.

Economy and infrastructure

In Kreba -Neudorf one of the production sites of the Lorenz Snack-World is located.

Another economically important operation is the Krebaer pond fish GmbH, which breeds several tonnes of edible fish every year in the Krebaer pond areas.

Transport links

Through the community's railroad Hoyerswerda Niesky - Görlitz runs, the nearest train stations are in Klitten and Mücka.

Federal highway 156 runs west of the community, the federal highway 115 east of it. Both lead to the south extending federal highway 4, on the White Mountain Connection (about 15 km) can be reached.
