Krebsbach (Fallbach)

It rises at Calbach and flows of Eckartshausen about Hammerbach ( Langen -Bergheim and Marköbel ) by Rüdigheim, Bruchkoebel to Hanau. Between Bruchkoebel and Hanau, the Krebsbach branches into two arms. The main section opens shortly thereafter in the event stream. Another arm flows as Salis creek through Hanau and opens into the Kinzig.

Currently, the Krebsbach and the inflow Riedbachstraße is renatured in the field Rüdigheim in parts. In addition, the wastewater treatment plant Neuberg - Rüdigheim was closed in 2008. The wastewater is then passed to a pumping line via Neuberg - Ravolzhausen to Erlensee and there in the Kinzig. Only when it rains the Krebsbach is still loaded in Neuberg - Rüdigheim.

Name

Previous names of Cancer Bach were, inter alia, " Köbel ". Therefore, the place names Marköbel (Mark on the Köbel ) and Bruchkoebel (fracture (old name for mill, but also for marsh or moorland according to Grimm's dictionary ) at the Köbel ).
