Kreuzkirche, Kaliningrad

The Cross Church is a church in Kaliningrad district Lomse. It was built from 1930 to 1933 after plans by Arthur Kickton as a church of the Evangelical Church of the old-Prussian Union. The facing is made of colorful Cadiner Majolikaklinker. Between the twin towers, a monumental niche is admitted, which is blinded by a cross of Cadiner majolica on colored background.

The church survived the war easily damaged. After that she was abused as a car repair shop and fishing supplies factory. After a fire in 1988 the church was handed over to a Russian Orthodox church. The then the changes made have brought back the octagonal towers since 1990, a connection to the longhouse. Today the church is dominated by surrounding skyscrapers. The clock tower is located today at the Catholic Church of the Holy Family of Königsberg.

By 1945, the consistory John Vienna (* 1882) was the last priest.
