Kris Newbury

Kris Newbury ( born February 19, 1982 in Brampton, Ontario ) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player who is since July 2013 when the Philadelphia Flyers of the National Hockey League contract.

Career

Kris Newbury started his career as a hockey player in the Ontario Hockey League, where he was active for the Sarnia Sting, first from 1998 to 2000 for the Belleville Bulls and then from 2000 to 2003. During this time he was selected in the NHL Entry Draft in 2002 in the fifth round as the 139th overall player of the San Jose Sharks, for which, however, he never played. In summer 2003, the attacker was added to the roster of Toronto's farm team in the American Hockey League, the St. John 's Maple Leafs, for which he was on the following two seasons on the ice. From the season 2005/ 06 Newbury was for the new AHL farm team the Maple Leafs, the Toronto Marlies, active. From the season 2006/ 07 the Canadians came to some stakes in the National Hockey League for the Toronto Maple Leafs.
