Kristen Skjeldal

Kristen Skjeldal ( born May 27, 1967 in Voss ) is a Norwegian cross-country skier.

Career

Kristen Skjeldal is a trained carpenter and starts for the club Bulken IL. In March 1989 he launched the first time in Falun in the Cross Country World Cup. At the race over 30 kilometers, he finished seventh place at once a place among the top ten. In 1991 the Norwegians in Val di Fiemme for the first time participated in a Nordic World Ski Championships. In the race over 15 kilometers, it was seventh. In the first race after the World Cup in Lahti on 30 kilometers, he won his first and only race in the World Cup. In 1992 Skjeldal in Albertville for the first time in the Olympic Games. Skjeldal won several national championship titles. 148 times he raced in single World Cup race, came here eleven times on the podium. His brother Gudmund Skjeldal launched internationally for Norway. Gudmund wrote a biography, Den siste langrennaren, about his brother.
