Kristian von Bengtson

Kristian von Bengtson ( b. 1974 ) is a Danish architect. He specializes with his company MOTHER to the field of manned spaceflight. Kristian von Bengtson lives in Copenhagen and is married to the director Karla Bengtson.

Educational background

Kristian von Bengtson has completed his Master of Architecture degree in 2001 at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen. His Master of Science in Space Studies, he has stored at the private University of International Space University in Alsace Illkirch- Graffenstaden in 2006.

Project investments

In 2003 he was co-founder of SpaceArch.com and design company Goodmorning Technology Limited. In 2004, he worked among others for the Space & the Arts conference of the ESA. In 2005, he was inter alia involved in the "Moon & Habitat Workshop" ESA / ESTEC. 2006 and 2008 he worked for NASA. Here he worked, inter alia, on "Human Interface Design Handbook" and has been involved in studies for the Constellation program.

He founded in 2008 together with the Danish engineer Peter Madsen the club Copenhagen Suborbitals. There he was, until his retirement in February 2014 responsible for the design and production of the MSC ( = micro spacecraft ) Tycho Brahe -1.

In 2013 he started the project Objective Europe. It provides a platform for research in order to make a manned flight to Jupiter 's moon Europa possible.

Awards

Kristian von Bengtson and Peter Madsen have been awarded for their work with the Danish Henry Prize 2010.
