Kristina Kristiansen

Kristina Kristiansen ( born July 13, 1989 in Hoje Taastrup, Denmark) is a Danish handball player who plays for Danish first division team Tvis Holstebro.

Career

Kristiansen began five years playing handball at Roar Roskilde. In 2007, the backcourt player joined team Tvis Holstebro. With Holstebro, it rose in 2009 to the highest Danish league and was named in the promotion season for Spiller Årets i first division. In 2011 she was with TTH in the finals of the EHF Cup, which was lost to the league rivals FC Midtjylland Håndbold. Kristiansen 2013 stood again in the EHF Cup final and sat down, this time successfully against the French side Metz Handball by. In the second final match she scored twelve goals for the most goals Holstebro.

Kristiansen completed so far 86 caps for Denmark, where it achieved 222 hits. With the Danish selection, she participated in the World Championships in 2009, 2011 and 2013. Kristiansen won at the 2013 World Championships bronze medal and scored 45 goals in nine games.

Previously Kristiansen belonged to the squad of youth and junior national team. She won 2006 World Junior Championships, 2007 Junior Championship and in 2008 Vice World Champion in the Junior Women.

Kristiansen had at the age of 18 years, her coming out. She was romantically involved with the Danish Women's Handball Mette Gravholt.
