Kristina Vogel

Kristina Vogel ( born November 10, 1990 in Leninskoje, Soviet Union, now Kyrgyzstan ) is a German track cyclist, six -time Junior World Champion, five -time world champion and Olympic champion.

Sports career

2007 Kristina Vogel was the driving for the RSC Turbine Erfurt, two-time European champion (Juniors ) in the sprint and 500 -meter time trial in Cottbus. In the Keirin she finished in third place. In the same year the 17 -year-old three -time world champion in the time trial, sprint and team sprint at the Junior World Championships in Aguascalientes was. In 2008 she was also the overall winner of the Albert Richter Sprinter cups of the Federal German cyclists. The Deutsche Bahn Championships 2010 in Cottbus bird won triple gold in the sprint, keirin and in the time trial. In December of the same year she won in the Colombian Cali her first World Cup victory in the sprint. In the UCI Track World Championships 2012 in Melbourne Kristina Vogel won jointly with Miriam Welte the gold medal in the team sprint. In the qualification and the final two riders each challenged to a world record. In the Keirin, she won the bronze medal, which is their first medal for a single success in elite world championships at this World Cup.

At the Olympic Games in London in 2012 Kristina Vogel was together with Miriam Welte Olympic gold medalist in the team sprint after the winners of the finals from China because of a faulty reset to second place had been. In the UCI Track World Championships 2013 in Minsk Kristina Vogel was again jointly with Miriam Welte World Champion in the team sprint; in the sprint, she won the silver medal. On December 7, 2013, it presented in Aguascalientes at the second round of the UCI Track Cycling World Cup with 10.384 seconds set a new world record over 200 meters with a flying start, and together with Miriam Welte 32.153 seconds with a new world record in the team sprint over 500 meters.

Kristina Vogel is 1,60 m tall and weighs 58 kg.
