Kristof Wilke

Kristof Wilke ( born April 17, 1985 in Radolfzell ) is a German sweep rowers.

Life

Kristof Wilke began his rowing career on the lake, since 2001, he started for the RC Undine Radolfzell, he trained at Christian Viedt. In the age group of under -23 -year-old Wilke won two world titles. In the fall of 2007, he was planning along with his team mate Andreas Penkner to tackle the qualification for the Olympic Games in Beijing in two. Shortly before the 2008 Olympics, the two were appointed to a controversial decision because of their small boat services in Germany aft. There, the eight finished last in pre-, repechage and B finals. A year later, Wilke won at the World Rowing Championships in 2009 with the eighth gold medal.

August 1, 2012 Wilke won at the 2012 Olympic Games in London, the gold medal in the eights. The teams from Canada and the United Kingdom were referred to the courts.

The World Rowing Championships in 2013 he won a silver medal, behind the United Kingdom and ahead of the United States.

Kristof Wilke studied Physical Education and Biology at the Ruhr- University Bochum.
