Kristofer Lehmkuhl

Kristofer Lehmkuhl Didrik ( born September 26, 1855October 23, 1949 ) was a Norwegian politician from the Høyre mountains. He was, among others, between 1905 and 1907 labor minister in the government of Prime Minister Christian Michelsen. From 1904 to 1906 he was a member of the Storting.

Between 1908 and 1936, Lehmkuhl was director of the Bergen Steamship Company ( Det Bergenske Dampskipsselskap ), also known as " The Bergen Line". Lehmkuhl was one of the pioneers for the establishment of the Norwegian School of Economics Bergen ( Norges Handelshøyskole ), a statue stands today Lehmkuhls front of the building of the School of Economics in Bergen. Named after Lehmkuhl is the Bark Statsraad Lehmkuhl.
