Kroke

Kroke ( Yiddish for Kraków ) is a Polish klezmer band. 1992 found the three longtime friends and graduates of the Cracow Music Academy Tomasz Lato, Tomasz Kukurba and Jerzy Bawół the group in Krakow. The group has performed internationally, mostly in Europe, and is working on albums and concerts with various guest musicians.

On the album The Sounds Of The Vanishing World Kroke works 1999 Dariusz Grela together (vocals, drum programming, sampling). With Tomasz Grochot (drums, percussion ) cooperation on a total of three albums took place since 2004. On the album East meets east and at concerts ( 2009 ) Nigel Kennedy played together on violin and electric violin with Kroke. With the singer Edyta Geppert and the jazz pianist Krzysztof Herdzin took place in 2007 a ​​collaboration instead. Since the album Out of Sight is Kroke again concentrated more on the original trio line-up, where Grochot in the cast was not the first time there.
