Kronberg Academy

The Kronberg Academy is an internationally acting cultural institution for training and supporting young, highly talented musicians of violin, viola and cello. Founded in 1993 as International Chamber Music Academy Kronberg ( renamed to its present name in 1999 ), it has its headquarters in Kronberg im Taunus. Managing and Artistic Director since its founding Raimund Trenkler.

Courses

The Kronberg Academy offers the degree program Kronberg Academy Masters at ( M.Mus. ), A unique in Europe bachelor's and master's degree program for outstanding young musicians who have the potential to make an international career as a soloist. The course is designed for a maximum of 12 people, takes a total of three years and is offered in cooperation with the University of Music and Performing Arts in Frankfurt am Main.

Based on this, there is also the Kronberg Academy Further Masters Studies (one to two years).

Teachers

Teachers of the Kronberg Academy Masters are Chumachenco Ana and Christian Tetzlaff (violin), Nobuko Imai (viola ) and Frans Helmerson (cello). Other internationally known artists such as Yuri Bashmet, Gidon Kremer or Tabea Zimmermann teach the young soloists regularly in internal master classes. Artistic Advisory Board

The Kronberg Academy is actively supported by many famous artists. Members of the Artistic Advisory Board are Yuri Bashmet, Marta Istomin Caslas, Gidon Kremer and András Schiff.

Until his death in 2007, the cellist Mstislav Rostropovich, the Kronberg had declared to the world capital of the cello in 1997, the Artistic Board included. By Emanuel fire man Conservatory Kronberg Academy offers lessons based on violin and cello for children and adolescents. The Conservatory is one of three representatives of the ABRSM ( " Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music" ) in Hesse.
