Krośnica, Opole Voivodeship

Kroschnitz (Polish Krośnica ) is a village in Poland, in Opole Voivodeship, in powiat Strzelecki, in the community room village ( Izbicko ), which is officially bilingual since 2006 (Polish and German )

History

Kroschnitz was first documented in 1297.

In the referendum on March 20, 1921 142 voters voted to remain in Germany and 208 for Poland. Kroschnitz remained with the German Reich. By 1945, the place was in the district of Great Strehlitz.

In 1945 the previously German place under Polish administration, was renamed Krośnica and joined the Silesian Voivodeship. In 1950 Kroschnitz for Opole Voivodeship and the 1999 restored powiat Strzelecki. Since 6 March 2006 in the German Gemeindestube village that belongs Kroschnitz, the second official language. On 20 May 2008, the site received the additional official German names Kroschnitz and bilingual place-name signs in December 2008.

In the village a German Friendship Association ( DFK ) of the German minority is active.
