Krraba (Albanian Krrabë and Kërraba respectively. Kërrabë ) is a village and headquarters of the eponymous Komuna in a circle and Tirana County in central Albania. The Komuna has 2342 inhabitants ( 2011) also includes the neighboring villages Mushqeta and Skuterra.

Krraba is named after her hills Kodrat e Krrabës south of the capital Tirana secluded on a mountain slope 360-460 m above sea level. A.. Above the town rises the 1091 meters above sea level. A. high Mali i Kalasë, part of the Edge Mountains, which runs parallel to the Albanian coast. Near the place flows a left tributary of the ores.

Krraba grew up as a mining camp. Rum around the place was funded lignite, which has little energy value. The degradation began modestly in 1935, was then forced under the Communists, when around 800 workers were employed in the mines. Together with Valias northwest of Tirana, the second deposit of Tirana basin, Krabba was the most important coal producing region of Albania. In the 1990s, the production has fallen sharply and completely closed in 2000 at the latest.

In Mushqeta, which is separated from the place Krraba by a deep ravine, the national road SH3 from Tirana to Elbasan leads through the Krraba Pass. Currently is also the Krraba tunnel as part of the A3 in construction, which will reduce travel time between Tirana and Elbasan. The west portal is located south of the village Krraba.
