Kruder & Dorfmeister

Kruder & Dorfmeister (also shortened to K & D) is an Austrian DJ and producer duo consisting of the Viennese musicians Peter Kruder and Richard Dorfmeister.

Kruder & Dorfmeister among the most famous Austrian musicians. Their music is also successful outside Europe. The style of Kruder & Dorfmeister ranges from downtempo and dub Electronica about to trip-hop. K & D have released numerous remixes, including for Madonna, Depeche Mode, the Truby Trio Lamb and Roni Size. K & D together founded the record label G- Stone Recordings, through which they release their music. In 1998, appeared on G-Stone the Kruder & Dorfmeister album The K & D Sessions, released as a double CD and as quadruple LP. The vinyl edition is still a wanted plate. In online auctions collectors and enthusiasts pay top prices up to 500 euros for a well-preserved copy.

Today, Peter Kruder and Richard Dorfmeister go artistically frequently separate ways and are also with their solo projects Peace Orchestra ( Peter Kruder solo project ) and Voom: Voom (Peter Kruder with Fauna Flash ) and Tosca ( Richard Dorfmeister Rupert Huber) and Richard Dorfmeister con Madrid de los Austrias successful.

In November 2007, the Finnish company Nokia introduced its new mobile phone models 8800 Arte and Sapphire. These composed the two Austrians a soundtrack, and an associated video was designed by Fritz Fitzke. In 2010, K & D were the occasion of the 16th anniversary of their label G- Stone Recordings with a two-hour concert set on tour in February 2011, they performed at the Burgtheater in Vienna.
