Krujë District

The circle Kruja (Albanian: Rrethi i Krujës ) is one of the 36 administrative districts of Albania. The circle with an area of 333 km ² belongs to Qark Durres. He has 59 814 inhabitants ( 2011) and is 333 square kilometers in size. It was named after the main town of Kruja district.

Geography

The circle lies in the flat plain of the river Ishëm north of Tirana and in the east adjacent Skanderbeg mountains that reach a height of over 1,400 meters. In the northwest, the area ends a few kilometers from the coast of the Adriatic Sea. In the West, the level is completed by a range of hills.

The place Fushë - Kruja ( Kruja level) became the new unofficial center of the circle, as the chief town of Kruja, situated high above the plain on the mountainside, is difficult to achieve. In the fertile and developed level, many people settle, so that the north adjacent to Fushë - Kruja neighboring community Thumana already has over 15,000 inhabitants, while it brings the southern neighboring town of Nikel to around 10,000 inhabitants.

In Fushë - Kruja, the streets of Tirana ( SH 1) and Durres combine (SH 52) the only major route to northern Albania. A tap leads to Kruja.

Northeast of Kruja is the small National Park Qafë Shtama. In an area of around 2,000 hectares are found in a mountain landscape, forests, springs and several small lakes.

In the village Bilaj west of Fushë - Kruja which is transmitted by the Ishëm alluvial soil level rises a thermal spring. The sulphurous water that contains calcium, sodium, iron and manganese, is 55 ° C warm. There is a small, simple healing center for spa guests.

Economy

Thanks to its proximity to the capital, Tirana and its central location within Albania were able to develop various economic sectors in the district of Kruja.

Trade

The circle has gained fame for a product in Tirana in particular. At many places furniture is produced. Along the main roads, a furniture sales business lined up one after another.

Even the Communists have built a cement factory and other industrial plants in Fushë - Kruja. Tourism
