Krunoslav Simon

Krunoslav Simon (* June 24, 1985 in Zagreb, SR Croatia) is a Croatian professional basketball player. Simon played in his native city for KK Zagreb, with whom he won three national cup competitions, including one in 2011 in conjunction with the Croatian championship as a Double. After a season in the Spanish ACB League 2012/13 at CB Unicaja Málaga Simon plays in the 2013/14 season at the ULEB Eurocup winner Russian locomotive Kuban Krasnodar.

Career

Simon began his career with KK Zagreb, where he aufrückte age of 17 into the first team in 2002. As a result, the team was able to work your way into the national top and won in 2008 for the first time with the Cup competition a national title. Two years later, you could repeat this success and a year later they defended not only the 2011 Cup title, but first won the championship. In the championship round of the 2011/12 one missed but as defending the entry into the play-off semi-final and could not defend the Cup title. Simon then moved for the first time abroad to Spain, where he plays with his former teammate Luka Zoric Zagreb since 2012 for Unicaja Málaga. After 2011/12, he retired with KK Zagreb in the first round of the ULEB Euro League, he reached the round of Málaga 16 best teams in the ULEB Euro League 2012/13. There are different then prematurely. In the Spanish ACB league you missed in ninth place because of the poorer direct comparison of a place in the play-offs at the Spanish Championship. In the season 2013/14 Simon got a contract with the Russian club Kuban locomotive from Krasnodar, who will play the winner of the Eurocup 2012/13 and runner-up of the Eastern European VTB United League 2012/13 in the ULEB Euro League 2013/14.

With the Croatian national team Simon won the final against Greece at the Mediterranean Games in 2009. In the European Championship finals in 2011 in Lithuania you missed because of the poorer direct comparison of the way into the second round and thus qualifying for the Olympics.
